Chemipro Kasei is the world's leading manufacturer of benzotriazole UV absorbers. Based on the technology cultivated as a result, we are also engaged in the development and manufacture of antioxidants, colour developers, intermediates for dyestuffs/pharmaceutical/agricultural products, as well as organic electronic materials, through application of our synthesizing technology. In the future, we will continue to deepen our research and development of new UV absorbers, antioxidants and electronic material agents, while giving even more thorough consideration to the global environment, so that we can constantly deliver products with high functionality and high quality to the world. We will also focus on the expansion of our product range and combine our technical expertise in existing products to maintain the high quality of our products and promote cost reduction.
A major disadvantage of plastic products is the deterioration and change of properties due to the effect of light, oxygen and heat. Our UV absorbers and antioxidants reduce these drawbacks.
While there has been much discussion in recent years regarding the environmental issues caused by plastic waste, our products, which prevent the deterioration and change in the quality of plastics, play a vital role in reducing the amount of such waste. Further, as plastics are increasingly used to replace other materials, for example in car parts, it is used to reduce the weight of cars, it is expected that demand for our UV absorbers will increasingly grow.
Additives are also used in various other parts, including synthetic fibres, and automotive body paints/bumpers/seats, dramatically enhancing their durability. Although not directly visible to us as they are contained as additives, our products are introduced extensively in all industries.
Used as a means to rapidly record information, thermal paper has a broad range of applications, such as tickets, ATM papers, labels, and register receipts, and has become indispensable for our everyday life. It is pre-coated with various chemicals (colour formers and colour developers), which, through the application of heat, generate a reaction that produces colour. Chemipro Kasei is engaged in the development and manufacture of such colour developers and other chemicals for thermal and carbonless papers.
With its excellent precision synthesis technology, Chemipro Kasei assists customers while providing service through synthesizing intermediates for pharmaceutical/agricultural/photographic chemicals. Also having small capacity synthesizing facilities, we can meet customer needs for a wide range of reactions.
OLEDs, which we see and hear more and more about in our daily lives, are primarily used in display panels. It is said that OLED display panels have higher image quality and are thinner than those of LCs, thus having a different appeal to LCs. We, at Chemipro Kasei, strive for the industrialisation of OLED materials, which meet multiple needs while making good use of the organic synthesis and purification knowhow acquired through the manufacture of UV absorbers.
By supplying our OLED materials to manufacturers in Japan and overseas, we contribute to the development of next-generation materials. OLED materials are still in their infancy compared to other business areas, but this is precisely why there is great potential for their further growth.

Introduction and study of technologies for low carbon, energy and waste reduction, and conversion of waste into new energy sources ─ Chemipro Kasei continues to address environmental issues with its chemical and technological strength.
By burning city gas to generate electricity and utilizing the heat discharged from such process as energy for production, Chemipro Kasei realises energy saving and CO_{2} emission- and cost-reduction. We also contribute to electric-load levelling during peak power demand, while utilising the above in-house power generation as an emergency power source, as part of BCP (business contingency plan) initiatives.
We reprocess byproducts and return them to our raw material manufacturers for recycling, thus some of the industrial waste which would otherwise have been incinerated or disposed of as landfill by waste disposal companies, is reused. Environmental impact is thus reduced through our efforts for energy saving, cyclical use of resources, and prevention of environmental pollution. While further studying waste treatment technologies, Chemipro Kasei will continue working for the reduction of environmental impact.
