The Household Products Division has the long history of more than 100 years as a professional organization in the field of wood preservation. The division has been involved in the pursuit of better decay resistance of wood that can then withstand longer use via research and has been making new products available for the purpose of wood preservation and protection since the Meiji Era through various projects, including preservative treatment of the electricity poles and railroad ties used by Japanese National Railways (currently JR).
Studying the preservation of wood, and based on its achievements and experience, has bestowed upon the company a high level of credibility and positive publicity as an establishment which has been around a long time that manufactures and markets "ALISIS" wood preservatives as well as "XAMOX" insecticides for home termite control.
The division also has consumer products available that can be safely used by the general public such as insecticides for termites and other noxious insects, "ALISIS" wood preservatives, and wood protective coating materials which can be found at home centers throughout the nation.
Wood was being replaced by other materials such as concrete in the post-war industrialization, but people are now re-examining the advantages of it being capable of absorbing toxic UV rays, noise, and impact, as well as its excellent heat insulation. Wood, an important but limited global resource, can be used as an effective means of preventing global warming when utilized for a long period of time instead of being burnt because of its carbon dioxide fixation properties.
