Chemical operations and wood preservatives operations have established their quality assurance system in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001 (development, manufacturing, sales). Incorporating an internationally recognized system in company operations is part to Chemipro Kasei’s efforts to improve its production efficiency, corporate quality, and cost position.

To coincide with the consolidation of ISO systems and the expansion of organizational structures, a team of the company’s most experienced and trusted employees is being trained to carry out regular internal audits. Now almost fully operational, the audit system has enjoyed growing success and the benefit of regular quality inspections is showing in the form of a steady improvement in employee motivation.

Chemipro Kasei regards it as a condition for continued corporate prosperity and a mark of responsibility to society that it is now engaged in putting in place the ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), while establishing relevant systems at its chemical operations, thus raising to the status of important company priorities, issues such as responsibility for company products, environmental protection, pollution prevention, and measures to ensure the safety of local residents and company employees. Through these endeavours, Chemipro Kasei aims to be recognized as an environmentally responsible company, while giving attention to the ongoing improvement of these tasks.

To implement our policy, the leader of each department (including each division, business segment, and plant) sets a management policy, and each director sets high-priority items every fiscal year to specify the details of his/her department activities to be carried out by all the people who manage the quality system.

Environmental Policy
Chemipro Kasei Kaisha, Ltd., a leading manufacturer of ultraviolet absorbers, seeks to exercise social responsibility by promoting activities that achieve “harmony with the environment” in all of its operations from product development, manufacturing, delivery, through disposal. We hold that up as an “important management task,” comply with laws, roll out environmental conservation and pollution preventive activities effectively and continuously, as well as to try to “create an environmentally-friendly” company.

1. Since our operational bases are facing the Inland Sea of Japan (Setonaikai), we set environmental objectives and goals within our financial and technical capability, review them regularly, and constantly seek to improve environmental conservation activities.
2. We observe laws, regulations, and agreements related to the environment to prevent pollution.
3. We work particularly hard to control and reduce industrial wastes and recycle, save energy, participate in activities to conserve natural resources, and strive to minimize environmental load.
4. We communicate our environmental policy to all employees, and promote activities to maintain and improve our environmental management system.
